A dim candle flickers alight
Warming a misty cavern
Revealing items thought lost
Slightly dusty
Intact and mis-used
Neglected and forgotten to a fading gasp

Closer inspection shows a path less troden
Many confusing turns and back tracking begun
An undefinable direction
Haphazardly zig-zaging
Approaching a mirage
Shimmering ahead through a hazy eternity

The flame glows brighter with a sudden spark
Top lying remanents vanish in tow
Exposing the under layers
Singular minutes left
Defining words still echoing
Throughout this vault stashed away in darkness

With the new light, the cavern unveils old shadows
Making visible the true expanse inside
But with charasmatic stealh
The candle Flares
And all is unmasked
Leaving a warmth to thaw last traces of guilt

A fainting figurine of long held hurt
Dissolving at last...
